#GBE2 Peace of Cake

WEEK #67  Peace
GBE2 Group Blogging Experience is a weekly bloggin group hosted by Grace! I'm grateful!
This week's topic is PEACE.

I live in a peaceful town in Oregon. Surrounded by beauty. Really how could anyone not feel in a constant state of bliss here.

However.... my own thoughts disrupt my peace.
I’ve had a lot of issues to ‘let go’ of. The kind that could make a person  bitter. I had to get from “may they burn in hell” to “forgiveness schmivness” to “eh *shrug*”
Another peace breaker: I’m never satisfied. I constantly need change and growth.  Ten projects is better than being stuck in one job forever.

This confuses me.

I am still seeking peace.....I continue to seek it. In my mind it is just around the corner. So close I can almost touch it.

Letting go of random no-fault pain. My boy lives with his dad. I can’t let that pain kill my joy. I miss him and could go nuts over it but “eh *shrug*” He'll be here for a visit soon...

Be grateful for what I do have. My self. My character.
My reputation. My sparkling personality. :D A good relationship with my teen. A great job, great friends, health, so many blessings to count.

Be grateful for what I don’t have.
A husband who’s wrong for me, or a boss who secretly (or openly) hates me.
Hope for what I will have. Someday, a love of my own.
More time spent with my son, maybe take some trips to far off lands. Success in my career.
Future plans that work out. Just like Dori, i just keep swimming.

That's a peace of my mind!

Life is a peace of cake!
Or is it a Piece of peace cake?
Peace out!

#GBE2 64 That Which is Hidden

Hello, and welcome to my blog! This week's GBE topic is

Mr. Right has been hidden from me for my entire life! What a joke!

My white trash roots stay hidden, except when I am a little too good at darts/pool/horse shoes or can shoot a target, cuss or hold my liquor or my tattoos show

some people.....

put it all 'out there' for the world to see...

not i....

some good things from our collective past has been erased from our history,

& some habits can't not be hidden as a result

my talents remain safely hidden, my books.. unwritten.

not one to turn down a challenge, all this is being addressed...

the single thing.. it's temporary....

talking bout love. it will come. hidden he can't stay forever.....

just gonna keep kissing frogs meanwhile....

i won't stay hidden forever.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

#GBE2 Unexpected

GBE2: Unexpected

I prefer to be spontaneous over planned. That's why I think I say or post inappropriate things

tasteless, tacky things. Nobody sees it coming, lest of all myself lol

this Bartender was promised fame in my blog, so here you go hon...

On an unexpected 2 week visit from my Boy (far right) his friend (far left) was in a rafting accident and her friend drowned. The memorial was yesterday. She was 16. Prayers for her family. The harshest imaginable circumstance to feel unexpected grief. God Bless.

I never know what to expect, really. I hate for life to become mundane or predictable.

My goofball facebook friends!

Whenever someone unexpectedly hijacks a conversation, I'm slightly miffed. Oh wait, I go off topic .

Gaining back the weight! That was quite unexpected!~

whenever Any romance shows up it is Unexpected!

It's unexpected i did a blog, on topic and on time! Ha!

What One Woman Wants: The List

Boys Vs. Girls. The battle rages on.. or does it?

MythBusting: What Women Want.

There's been a lot of confusion as to what women want. due, partly to the Women's Movement, but mostly, to us not knowing what the hell we want. So I have been thinking lately of my "List". The List is a simple way a woman can construct her ideal mate. You simply make a list of all the qualities they should have, and by putting it out there to the universe, the person magically appears.

It's based on part fantasy, part desperate attempt to not attract anyone remotely like the Ex. In the past, my list was too short. Be employed and taller than me: don't cheat. That was it.

#1 on my list is "be kind". Nuff said.

#2 is Be Into Me!! I'm so sick of the apathetic "cool" types who can't be bothered to call let alone take me out on a date. . Don't just hint that it's okay to come over cuz you're home watching tv.  And if you're passing a store, can you bring some beer? Court me! We want to be pursued...

#3 Open the Pickle Jar.  It's a myth that women don't want you to open the door, give us the last seat on the bus, pay the check. Be a gentleman. In my book, the more guy stuff you do for me, the more girl stuff you get a credit for. You change my oil? Your favorite home made cookies. You do a home repair, I cook an amazing meal.  If I'm stranded in a broken down car on the side of the road, I do expect you to rescue me, even if you just stay on the phone with me til the tow guy arrives. However if you come and literally rescue me...
you get birthday sex when it's not your birthday.

#4 Don't be too fit. Fitness buffs intimidate me. Be healthy and active but don't be vain about it.

Myth: Women are Emotional
Fact: Humans are Emotional

#5 Emotional Maturity. Be able to handle your emotions, balance them, deal with them. Admit you have more emotions then just "anger".  Society tries to limit the range of emotions a guy can have. If a guy falls for it, he's not being authentic.

I have about 30 things on my list so far... stuff like
  • supports my goals
  • loves my son
  • good kisser
  • above average sense of humor
  • several inches taller than me
  • pro 420

  • does not smell like cigarette smoke....

(Got to wrap it up its a blog, not a book. )

He can't be a Dick....

did I mention he should be into me?

Tell me what gender myths you've busted in your relationships? Did you write a list? Did it work?

Peace & Love. FCL
